Adams County has two incorporated communities, Council (pop. 816) and New Meadows (533). The total population for the county in 2000 was 3,254. That is an increase of 7% since 1990.
Land area: 1,370 square miles Established March 3, 1911 with its county seat at Council. Named for John Adams, the second President of the United States.
