Conference Design
The Conference is designed to engage the audience experiences
together without individual sessions and workshops. Keynote speakers
will address issues of importance and relevance to all volunteering
communities. The conference coordinators will provide information,
knowledge, and tools relevant to all conference participants and
strengthen connections among all constituent groups by mailing out a
CD to all paid participants within 8 weeks after the conference.
Mission of the CERT Conference is to provide
individuals, organizations and businesses involved in community CERT
volunteering with the knowledge, skills, contacts, and resources to
generate collaborative solutions to community issues.
We hope that participants will leave this conference equipped with
new information and tools to:

Serve as a strong leader, collaborator, and advocate for volunteer programs as an individual and as a representative of the organization, business or community they serve;·
Build, enhance and sustain CERT programs that have a definitive impact on people and communities;·
Learn about and replicate models of CERT involvement and action that will help build strong, healthy, communities; and·
Identify potential partners and network with others within CERT or constituent groups present at the conference; and·
Continue to build an inclusive culture of service that values volunteers and their contributions.
