- The most effective way people can assist relief efforts is by making cash contributions to humanitarian organizations that are conducting relief operations. - Cash donations are preferable because they allow aid professionals to procure the exact items needed (often in the affected region); reduce the burden on scarce resources (such as transportation routes, staff time, warehouse space, etc); can be transferred very quickly and without transportation costs; support the economy of the disaster stricken region; and ensure appropriate assistance.

Idaho H1N1 Pandemic Influenza
Novel H1N1 (referred to as “swine flu” early on) is a new influenza virus causing illness in people and was first detected in the United States in April 2009.
This virus is spreading from person-to-person worldwide, in much the same way that regular seasonal influenza viruses spread. Please visit our

Staying Healthy
Follow these flu prevention tips:
- Wash your hands after being out in the public, or after coughing or sneezing.
- Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth;
- Cover your cough or sneeze, or cough into your elbow;
- If you are sick, stay home from work or school. Protect your co-workers and friends. Please don’t travel when you are sick; and
- Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
